If you know, you know. This spot is covered in some of Toronto’s finest writers. After rappelling down a rope, you find yourself standing at the entrance of a spillway which opens up to a kilometre long stretch. As long as you got some boots or a good pair of galoshes, you can walk the entire thing. It’s actually pretty peaceful down there.
In the spillway, my friend and I were able to bangout a couple pieces to close out the summer, this being one of them. This concept presented me with lots of challenges, especially all the intricacies within the shadows. In the end, I think I used 6 or so different shades of pink to account for all the varying angles and perspectives. Then I threw in the drips that change direction on the 3D letters as a freestyle addition. I’m really happy I did.
